19” LCD TV Buying Considerations

Picture in picture. Personally, I don’t get picture in picture features
when I’m buying a relatively small TV, such as the 19” LCD TV.

Universal Remote. Some 19 inch LCD TV models come
with a universal remote in the box, so that you can control not only the TV, but also
other components, such as the DVD player, VCR, cable or satellite box,
etc.

Sound System. Nearly all new 19” LCD TVs these days come with
stereo sound. Look for something with 5+ watts per channel in the television sound
specifications.

What is the response time of the 19” LCD TV? You want a
low response
time, as this indicates the time required for an image to go from black to
white to black images.

What resolution do you want – 1080p or 720p? Unless you have specialty
needs and plan to use the 19 inch LCD TV for video production/editing, or intense graphics, the
720 should suit you just fine.
